Located on the South Shore of Belvedere Island, the 15,167 square foot, $45 million Villa Belvedere boasts a 1.14-acre waterfront lot with breathtaking views of the San Francisco Bay, Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and Sausalito.
The main goal of the project was to optimize the home’s panoramic views while implementing traditional interior design to compliment the Villa Belvedere’s historic appeal. From the outside, the house is curved like a ship to optimize views, which made designing the Villa Belvedere feel like a classic vessel from the 1920's or 1940's. The concept inspired David throughout the design process. This home is also “Green Certified” and is as timeless as it is high-tech with Crestron’s Home Automation, which controls everything by way of iPad, located in each wing of he home.
